Provençal, and recently restored
Mas du Granan combines timeless Provençal charm with modern elegance following a recent refurbishment to impeccable standards. The bright, open-plan living space is south-facing and bathed in natural light: a lounge with comfortable sofas, a state-of-the-art kitchen with breakfast bar, and a dining room whose doors open onto the patio and the pool.
Outside, the enclosed garden is planted with lavender, roses, olive trees and pines, with room for croquet and pétanque and a plancha on the terrace for long evenings. Two bedrooms sit on the ground floor; two more upstairs look out over the Luberon.

Cool, all day
Air-conditioning throughout
Every bedroom and the whole open-plan living space. In a stone mas in August that is the difference between a holiday and an endurance test.

Heated, so it is swimmable well outside high summer, with an electric safety cover, eight loungers and two parasols on the terrace beside it.

You can walk to Gordes
Along a quiet local road into the village: cobbled lanes, the Renaissance château, restaurants, and the Tuesday morning market. Dinner without the drive home.
Two on the ground floor
Four bedrooms, four en-suites
Nobody shares a bathroom and nobody draws the short straw. Two bedrooms sit on the ground floor; the two upstairs look out over the Luberon.

Dogs are welcome
The garden is fully enclosed and planted with lavender, roses, olives and pines — room for croquet, pétanque and a dog. Just tell us when you enquire.

A market every morning
Gordes on Tuesday, a few minutes’ walk. Apt on Saturday, the largest in the Luberon. The Sunday brocante at L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, famous for its antique dealers. Olives, melons, cherries, truffles and lavender by season.
The view that drew the painters
Honey-coloured stone cascading down the hillside, and the Luberon beyond it. This is the scenery that kept Van Gogh and a century of artists in the valley.
Everything looked after
Our property manager arranges massages at the house, a chef for the evening, a stocked fridge on arrival and transfers from Marseille or the TGV at Avignon.

At the centre of the Luberon, not at the edge of it
Gordes sits on the northern rim of the valley, which puts almost every village worth the drive within half an hour of the garden gate — and the airports close enough that you can land in the morning and swim in the afternoon.

The airport everyone uses: the widest choice of flights, car hire in the terminal, and a straight run up the A7. Transfers arranged by the house manager.
Avignon TGV
about 50 min by road
Paris Gare de Lyon in 2 hr 40, and a direct train from Charles de Gaulle. London by Eurostar and one change.
Aix-en-Provence TGV
about 55 min by road
The other TGV option, and often the better one coming from the south or west.
Nice Côte d’Azur (NCE)
about 2 hr 30 by road
A long drive, but worth it for the flight times if the fares fall your way.

Market, restaurants, château, galleries, bakery. Spar for the basics at 900m.

The nearest full supermarket, and a night market on Wednesdays through the summer.
A car is necessary to explore the region properly, and there is parking at the house. Times are typical door-to-door driving times outside the August weekends, when the A7 has its own opinions.
